GROVE CITY – Rep. Tim Bonner (R- Mercer/Butler) today announced the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) approved an additional $523,766 in grant funding for Sandy Lake Borough to make water system improvements.

Combined with the grant awarded by the agency in December 2023, the borough has now received over $2.5 million to make much-needed improvements to the local water system.

“The continual and constant investment into our communities’ water systems is critical to the health and safety of our residents,” Bonner said. “I was pleased to advocate for additional funding for this vital project that will make our local water systems stronger.”

The Commonwealth Financing Authority was established in 2004 as an independent agency of the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) to administer Pennsylvania’s economic stimulus packages. The CFA holds fiduciary responsibility over the funding of programs and investments in Pennsylvania’s economic growth.
