GROVE CITY –Rep. Tim Bonner (R-Mercer/Butler) is hosting Property Tax/Rent Rebate clinics throughout the 17th House District to assist eligible seniors and people with disabilities claim the rebates they deserve.

“I supported expansion of the Property Tax/Rent Rebate program legislatively last year that has now raised the income limits so more people can take advantage of the program,” said Bonner. “By offering these clinics, eligible homeowners and renters can receive free assistance completing their forms.”

The program is open to those 65 years and older; widows and widowers 50 years and older; and people with disabilities 18 years and older. Income limits increased this year to $45,000 for both homeowners and renters, so if you were earning too much to qualify before, you may be eligible now. Remember 50% of Social Security is excluded when determining your income.

The Property Tax/Rent Rebate clinics will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on:

• Monday, Feb. 26 – Sandy Lake Township Building, 3806 Sandy Lake-Grove City Road, Sandy Lake.
• Thursday, Feb. 29 – North Trails Library, 1553 W. Sunbury Road, West Sunbury.
• Tuesday, March 5 – Slippery Rock Borough Building., 306 E. Water St., Slippery Rock.
• Tuesday, March 12 – Marion Township Building, 2275 W. Sunbury Road, Boyers.
